Cu Chi Tunnels – Vietnam
I have really been milking the Vietnam blog posts, but it is such and amazing country with so much to see.
The Cu Chi tunnels are an intricate network of … tunnels that were used by the Viet Cong as accommodation, supply routes and hospitals. The spiderweb network of tunnels is over 200 km long.
We had the opportunity to crawl (frog squat) through 30 meters of tunnel which had been widened for the tourists. I was feeling majorly claustrophobic after just a minute in the tunnels, I am not sure how people would stay down there for weeks at a time. The next day after frog squatting through the small section of tunnel I had the sorest quadriceps (I am talking more painful than day after a marathon pain).
This is where the blog ends mum.
I also got to fire an old M-16 from the Vietnam war. It was super loud! Even with muffs on I would get a fright with each shot fired.
